Comment: She is a horrible lecturer, but the material is not hard - she provides a study guide that is very helpful! Although she is dreadful at lecturing, the material is very interesting and makes it decently enjoyable.

Comment: Goldstein really cares about his students and is obviously passionate about what he's teaching. Tests are multiple choice and free response that comes from lecture. Reading is not necessary. Lecture slides are posted but it's best to take notes in class since that's what's going to be on the tests. Goldstein talks quickly though, so it's really hard to take good notes and keep up with him. Discussion is used to answer homework questions so GO! You get all the answers to the homework which can be difficult if you don't listen carefully or take good notes in lecture.

Comment: Rhew is an awesome professor who's definitely passionate in what he teaches. He loves making the class more interesting so he'll do some weird things from time to time. Class was pretty easy, final was sort of tricky.

Comment: Loving this class..Professor Goldstein talks about the physical aspects of ES (atmosphere, oceans, the sun, chemistry stuff) while Professor Potts talks about the biological aspects. I personally prefer Goldstein's topics..I'm an engineering major haha. Potts is more enthusiastic, true, but his material is more boring for me. Overall a good class to get exposed to environmental issues..not too hard at all, especially for more science-minded people.
