Comment: Awesome professor! Tests were straightforward and fair, and homework was always reasonable. I haven't had such a clear, straightforward lecturer before or since.

Comment: Lectures were unmotivating (though admittedly it may be the nature of the material) and his english is very difficult to understand. He should also work on the organization and flow of his boardwork as well. Having a teacher who's english is difficult to understand and boardwork thats hard to follow makes for a not so great experience.

Comment: Amazing professor. Given that Real Analysis can be rather challenging at points, Professor Calder was an excellent help especially in office hours. His exams are challenging but fair, and his curve at the end is quite awesome. Also, he is a wonderful person, I highly recommend Professor Calder for any upper div math courses you may have to take at cal.

Comment: Nothing special about this professor. She did a lecture list which was helpful, but her lectures were just based on the book, which was a horrendous book (Ross). She talked quickly and went through too many boards in one lecture on material that was difficult if seeing for the first time. I liked her grading scheme: 40% HW, 15% each midterm (2), and 30% final, but the final can be worth up to 60% if you do better on it than the midterms. Ultimately saved my grade. But wouldn't take another class with her in the future. Also the class wasn't engaging nor full of life. Also, she focused way too much on topology which was randomly scattered throughout the class, it made learning analysis difficult and confusing. Topology also was about half of midterm 2 and we did not learn it in the fullest of detail.
