Comment: The bias of the class and the content being stupid probably made Anwar seem like a worse lecturer than he was. Was definitely enthusiastic, and would walk around the lab sections himself trying to make the effort to help people out -- whether he was able to or not was another matter entirely. Lab reports were pretty fair, and the projects were manageable as well, but the midterm exam (which was open book, a phrase that usually means that no notes will help you) was something we were poorly prepared for. You probably won't learn anything from going to class, but then again, that's because the course content is pretty hollow.

Comment: I thought it was a fine class. Maybe it's because I had a fantastic partner, but there was never a moment that I thought this class is bad. The class was about Professor Pisano giving you certain design specification and performance requirement for each projects and it's up to you to design a model that will do the job, which is probably an accurate representation how engineers work in real life.. Thankfully, unlike real life, we didn't get penalized even if the design didn't work or meet the specifications.

Comment: Prof. Pisano is a wonderful teacher who lets you focus on using your intuition and engineering judgment to bring your designs to life. His lectures are thorough and well-organized, and the lab assignments are all quite interesting. No exams.
