Comment: Stay away from her. She might seem nice and stuff but she's honestly a bitch. Super disorganized. Grades Essays and all Assignments she assigns really harshly and the course itself remind me of a high school course. The books we read are literally books I read as a freshman and she is very biased. Do not take this course with her.

Comment: Probably the best CompLit instructor there is. As a Stem major just taking this to fulfill a requirement, this class was pretty annoying in terms of workload. But there's no doubt Jessica improved my writing more than any other teacher could, and she knows her stuff. If you must take this class, be sure to take it with Jessica.

Comment: Not an easy class by any means, as expected from any comparative literature R1B class (2 major essays, 2 mini essays, weekly readings, as well as a potpourri of other homework assignments). However, Diana was an excellent teacher - she's enthusiastic, extremely helpful during office hours, tries to make class entertaining/engaging, and assigns interesting readings. If you're looking to take a comparative literature class for your R1B, I would highly recommend her.

Comment: Oya was a great GSI for Comp Lit R1B, but if you are a STEM major like me, you might struggle a bit keeping up with the endless amount of assignments and readings, but that is to be expected in a Comparative Literature course. She definitely challenged me, though, which I enjoyed.

Comment: Karina was such an amazing professor. She made class really engaging and focused a lot on discussion and collaboration. She made a R1B class actually exciting. I would definitely reach out to her during office hours because she helps so much and is really welcoming. If you can, no matter what the theme is take it with Karina--it's easily the best writing course you'll take.
