Comment: The way Johannessen teaches is great. She lectures and everything you need to know is in the lectures (I bought the book and didn't use it too much, but the kindle version helps with hw assignments since every section is in the table of contents and it's really easy to find the answers). If I were to take this class again, I wouldn't buy the book. She curves a few percentages up and for my class an 88.9% was a solid A (not A-). Her tests are a little tricky for some questions, but it's VERY fair which is what you can only ask for. Everything really is in the lecture slides. For the final, it is cumulative, but I was able to read through the previous section notes once and through the last section twice and I was able to get an A. If you pay attention in class, you don't need to study much. This was a great class and assignments were easy.

Comment: Sue is such a great lecturer! She is funny and enthusiastic 8 am every morning! Her exam questions can be a little tricky, but everything is on the lectures. Also, big HINT. Do the Section Questions because those questions are VERY similar to the test. Wish I had known this earlier.

Comment: Johannessen is super enthusiastic about health and everything she teaches, so it's pretty interesting lectures. I still brought my laptop and did other homework most of the time and checked in and out of lecture. Everything you need is in the book, so I highly recommend buying and reading it. A lot more focused on overall health rather than physical activity, which was kind of misleading. Great class!

Comment: A really easy/ boring class. Didn't learn anything from lectures except all those heart diseases. But this class is the easiest way to satisfy bio breadth requirement, so no complaints.
