Comment: Amazing professor! Her tests are quite specific but overall, if you attended lecture and wrote accurate notes.. you'll be fine!! You can really tell that she loves this material and it shows in her lecture and personality!

Comment: Professor Pieraccini brought Pompeii alive! Fascinating subject, interesting writing topics, extremely helpful inside and outside class. Definitely felt like I learned a lot in this class. I highly recommend it.

Comment: this class had NO research paper or any paper of that matter. all we had were weekly reading assignments. the professor and the gsi were all really sweet. at the end of the semester, mont sent us a travel guide to italy!

Comment: LOVED THIS CLASS! Pieraccini definitely knows her stuff, and it shows in her lectures. Attendance is not mandatory, but STILL GO. Unlike the course listing, we focused instead on greek, estrucan, and roman artwork. Section assignments weren't difficult, and you go over them in class. I had GSI Mont, and he was delightful to have; he even gave us donuts one time :)

Comment: Though lectures at times were really boring, my GSI Mont Allen made up all the difference. He was super enthusiastic and open to dialogue and interpretations. Pieraccini was also very excited about her subject and her tests were relatively easy.

Comment: The weekly assignments in section were super easy; you don't really need to go to lecture since everything is online, but professor Pieraccini is very excited about the material which makes it interesting. I thought I failed one of the midterms but it was curved and I actually got a pretty solid A so that was very nice. The only problem was that I assumed I'd be taking a survey course of Art History and it ended up being only about Greek, Etruscan and Roman art (which was great in the end since I am a Classical Languages major, but I was really looking forward to a more general class). Mont Allen, my GSI was great! He made this class a delight!
