Comment: All he talked about was fish... But really, he was retiring and at this point it seemed like even he didn't know what he wanted out of the class. We were given ambiguous assignments and then told that what we did wasn't what he wanted. Hunt tells some great stories though.

Comment: I still don't think I'll ever be able to please this guy on assignments, but that said... I liked this class. I'm still not entirely sure whether this class actually was a disservice to me or if it's one of my favorite classes. Hunt is an enigma, both pleasant and pessimistic, but I believe this course was worthwhile.

Comment: I was glad to see a water guy doing 105, and it started out well, but ended poorly. Loves to tell stories, and to give us a hard time about our lack of data presentation skills. Nice guy, but he really seemed to have no idea what he wanted us to do. Or, maybe it was that he could not tell us in any way that made sense what he wanted us to do. We'd simply hear afterward that what we did was not what he wanted. Assignments were mostly vague and nearly impossible to complete to his standards.

Comment: Hunt is pretty awesome. If you haven't already, go talk to him in office hours. He's very interesting and supportive of students. Exams weren't too hard, but homeworks were terrible, mostly because the grader was tough. Also, if you have class on October 1, he'll likely bring brownies to class. That's how enthusiastic he is about the beginning of the Water Year.
