Comment: I dozed off quite a bit in the beginning, but things really started to pick up. Kline chooses interesting topics so I went to every lecture (sadly, not a lot do). Problem sets are challenging, but as long as you put in the work, you should get high B's, low A's. Don't expect to get very good grades with simple, straightforward answers. The graders expect you to show some thoughts and analysis. Just go to OH! Tests are fair, and Kline doesn't test on everything he teaches (which is A LOT)! As long as you touch upon the models WITH graphs, you should be fine. He is very prompt with answering e-mails so that's a plus, especially when it's your grade or exam questions. Overall, I liked the class! No need to take Econ 140 beforehand, but having had Econ 101A will REALLY help.

Comment: I have learned alot from this class. If you have taken econ 100A and econ140, you will learn more!! In terms of getting a good grade, you don't need to know about econ 140. Prof. Kline is very helpful if you want to learn something from the class.

Comment: I didn't expect to learn as much in the class when I took it, but it turns out that a lot of the topics covered in class are very interesting. Assignments are doable, but the grading depends on the grader. On the first assignment I got 70 out of 100 but on the last one I got 100% (two different graders) But in the end there were a lotta complains so Kline decided to curve the assignments. Kline explains the materials pretty well, but I dislike that fact that he always complains about the book. If he dislikes the book so much, why didn't he choose another book? The exams are pretty easy. As long as you understanding the materials you will do fine. One more thing, although he said there are complementary readings, he never tested us on the materials on the exam/assignments.
