Comment: What a wonderful professor! The sweetest man with a unique sense of humor. Lecture often feels like discussion because he always asks for students' opinions regarding moral-legal decisions. Very interesting course. The class, in a way, can go rather slow, but because he goes at such a steady pace, by the end of the semester, you will know the theories by heart. He also draws the situations on the board and the amusing drawings are pretty good memory tools to remember them by XD The midterm was easy, personally, however the final paper was graded with harsher hand - likely because the midterm is in class and the paper is take-home. Section (and lecture) participation (30%) is essential!! I highly recommend this class for those who want to experience an interactive lecture setting or wish to learn about the utilitarian and kant perceptions of legal decisions. **** NOTE: The Harmful Thoughts book that is said to be required on this site was NOT required for fall 2011....only a reader was required...so I would hold on buying this until told if necessary. The first couple weeks readings were not in this book either so keeping up with readings should not be issue unless prof drastically changes structure....
