Comment: Quizzes twice a week, stares at the board all lecture, told students he made the curve "while drunk." Don't know why I'm writing this review, he's leaving the school after this semester.

Comment: The midterms are easy because the problems are basically given, but the final is super hard. You have to get a 90 on the midterms to be considered "passing". His grading system is kind of confusing, but go to discussion (can only help and not hurt your grade) and take ADJUNCT. Take ADJUNCT and you won't have to go to his lectures which are completely useless. Should be an easy A if you do the work and not get over confident from his midterms that don't prepare you for anything.

Comment: Grade expectations are unclear from the start. Homework is reasonable and participation in discussion means showing up and taking a quiz. I normally left soon after that was done, but I had a terrible GSI. I thought the class was crazy easy, because the midterms were exactly like the practice midterms he gave out. I got 95 on the first, 100 on the second, and utterly screwed on the Final (C+ semester grade, ridiculous). Everyone was totally unprepared unless they were in the adjunct. Even then, it was really hard for them. He is a monotone Santa Claus who inspires no love of math.

Comment: i really wish i could give him a better rating, because he's a really nice guy and is very approachable in office hours, but he is disorganized, has terrible handwriting, has an ambiguous grading system (homeworks were graded with adjectives and no scale was ever explained,) and was very unhelpful about solutions to the homework problems. i knew all of these things would be a problem from the first day of class and decided to stick it out anyway, and it was a bad decision.
