Comment: Jasper and Fyodor teach together this semester (Spring 2017). Bio 4 Voters is really above expectation. Both professors are very passionate, which makes class enjoyable. They also encourage discussions. Lectures are sometimes unclear and they do not update study questions very frequently. Definitely recommend this class. An easy and fun class. Readings are not necessary at all.

Comment: A really enthusiastic lecturer, but nevertheless one that doesn't really teach! He teaches material that in no way helps for his ludicrous exams which require you to use the most convoluted logic to answer. Definitely DO NOT take Bio 1A with this professor.

Comment: Pretentious, condescending. Overly hard tests, we are not graduate students. It's almost as if he tries to weed people out

Comment: Amazing Man who gives out free coffee and breakfast everyday at the start of class. He is very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable, but expects you to have a very good foundation for his portion of the class and teaches things you don't learn till upper division MCB classes.

Comment: He loves what he teaches but he goes WAY too fast. Even after rewatching his lectures on webcast and pausing after every 5 minutes, I still had a tough time figuring out what he was saying. His exam was ridiculous, too and not in a good way.

Comment: Well, Rine was enthusiastic in lecture. His presentations were interesting and the way he talked about them was engaging. Unfortunately, in order to enjoy them you'd have to either (a) watch last year's webcast of the same lecture or (b) show up to class at least half an hour early. This is because he prewrites the entire lecture on the Pimentel boards before class, and discusses them in the hour of lecture. If he only wrote down the notes as he was discussing them, the pace wouldn't be as fast and you wouldn't have to wake up at 6:30 am three more times per week. Then his average rating would probably be double what it is now. Oh, and his tests are hard, but not impossible.
