Comment: this class was very interesting. I enjoyed discussing such philosophical ideas not only trying to understand where they originated from but also how they were problematic. The exams consisted of writing prompts and the professor and gsi do a good gob of providing help on how to write philosophy papers.

Comment: Possibly the best course to introduce you to the interesting aspects of philosophy. However, it is best to keep in mind that philosophy is by no means always going to be like this; this course does not follow the analytic reconstruction of arguments that other intro courses such as 25b will have you do. Sluga was very interesting and well informed on every topic; the GSI's knew their stuff and were always available to help. Decently easy class, just put in the work.

Comment: Irritating, super basic, condescending, pontificates about subjects that he has no real-world experience of, doesn't explicate upon his views of the subject or give students a solid vocabulary with which to talk about the philosophical subjects he's talking about. Literally stopped and pointed at people to make them ask questions. Super awkward. Doesn't know how to deal with people who actually want to know... and who might contradict him.
