Comment: For Miyamoto sensei, Konno sensei, and Takata sensei J10B. Same level of enthusiasm and helpfulness and awesomeness as J10A! Just great!!

Comment: J10A was taught by Miyamoto sensei, Konno sensei, and Takata sensei this year. All three were super awesome, great teachers, and very approachable. J10A was a huge jump from J1, making the class very difficult, but the teachers tried their best to make the class as painless as possible.

Comment: When I took this class, the main two teachers were Miyamoto and Konno, and both of them were pretty great. Konno-sensei is quite enthusiastic in class, and though she teases students, it is all in good and fun nature. Miyamoto-sensei will initially appear to be strict, but she is funny in her own way. You can tell that both teachers do enjoy teaching the class. I would highly recommend attending office hours whenever you have questions. Office hours is where the professors can be the most helpful because they go more in-depth than they could otherwise do during class time. The assignments are also a good way of applying your language skills. Mix up the types of sentences you make and use the feedback/corrections they give you on the returned homework to see where you were wrong or right. The exams are quite a deal more difficult, and at times, a little nuanced because they look for a certain way of using the grammar and such. It helps to do the self-study packets to get an idea of what kind of usage they want you to use. Overall, highly recommend Miyamoto-sensei!

Comment: A lot harder than J1, but manageable as long as you put in some time each day. The class is a lot more serious, no more fun and games.
