Comment: This class was very very easy and basically all you need was showing up. The only assignments we got were picking an article in the New York Times and sharing it in class. So if you were looking for an easy class, this would be the right one for you.

Comment: Seriously, NICEST MAN EVER. He took us out for pizza once, and another time he invited our entire seminar to his house for an early dinner. We met his kids and wife and their bunny. I took this class because I thought it would be about blogging, but it turned out to be about the state of journalism today. I knew early on that journalistic writing is not my deal, so I hated his reporting assignments, but it was kind of nice to be forced to read the news and talk about it, and to listen to really enthusiastic people talk about journalism, and our guest speakers, and to attend some of the events I had no idea were happening around campus. Definitely recommend this if you're into journalism. If you're not, I recommend this course with Tom for units and general interest and developing your worldliness.
