Comment: Larue is adorable. He likes to converse with his students about life, and is really passionate and knowledgeable of the material. He's also very helpful outside of class. At times he can be dry at lecturing, but he's great person to talk to.

Comment: Dr. Larue is a brilliant scientist and had many stories of his years in science which made lab a bit more interesting. However, he often went on asides and present excess information that made the important material disappear into the background. If you take a class with him in the future, be prepared for many asides during lectures. His exams were detailed oriented so know and memorize everything.

Comment: Larue is a good instructor for this course. His lecture slides are well made and cover all of the material in his lectures. He is always there in lab sections and is very willing to help. His attitude towards students can vary, from very approachable to somewhat insulting. His exams are hard to prepare for, as the multiple choice questions are tricky and there is a great deal of material.

Comment: Larue is one of the nicest professors I've ever had and he really cares about his students. His lectures slides are amazing and I'll probably refer to them when I'm in med school. his exams though were pretty tough to STUDY FOR. The questions weren't tough but just studying for them was hell. There's just a lot of material to cover. Definitely try not to take this class with other MCB upper divs. (w/ 104, it should be fine)

Comment: This class was started by Larue and his colleague. He is very passionate and knowledgeable about the course and it is clear that he knows his stuff. Lab is pretty laid-back and cool while Larue's lectures and totally overwhelming. There is so much material that you will need to spend a lot of time outside of class going through and essentially copying down the slides. He is a reasonably engaging lecturer but moves very very quickly. Exams were very specific but extremely fair. If you need a bio lab to fulfill a requirement but are not a hardcore experimentalist this is a good class to take.
