Comment: Dr. Pearson is one of the best lecturers Ive had at Cal. She is so insightful about what she teaches. She is helpful if you go to her and interact with her. I loved her so much I took another class NAS20B with her the next semester. The tests are graded so easily. It might not always be the most enthralling topics but its an easy a with a great professor.

Comment: The readings were absurd. Most of the readings we had to do had superfluous informations. Long boring texts that never ends. Because of the amount of reading, I had to just try to get the main points out of all the texts. If you enjoy reading about the Buffalos and salmon, you should take this class.. However, Pearson does have incredible enthusiasm when teaching. She loves what she teaches and practically knows everything about the Native Americans since Christopher came.

Comment: Her assignments are pretty straight forward and easy. You don't need to put in tons of work. The hardest assignment is the research paper at the end but it isn't too bad. Her exams aren't hard either just study the review sheet she makes and you will at least make a B on every exam. Overall pretty easy class.

Comment: Honestly, the readings were extremely dense and long. It really helped she would go over ever reading in class. She's really energetic and does not care who listens or comments, hell, the FBI doesnt scare her, literally. She doesnt have any exams which makes the class even better! But her papers are no joke...make sure you cite correctly or you can go from an A to a C, literally. She's really nice and welcoming during her office hours which is good.
