Comment: COOLEST DANCE CLASS EVER! Felipe really knows his stuff and has clearly thought about his style and philosophy behind his movement a lot. The class starts off really slowly but then gets really upbeat and fast toward the end, with really long combinations and lots of crazy inversions/floor work. It's an awesome workout! He was also really helpful in giving feedback and had a really relaxed and welcoming class environment. His style has almost no ballet in it; it's a lot of flowing athletic inversions/floor phrases with some Horton thrown in there. If your main training is in ballet this will be WAY outside your comfort zone, (though a lot of the class in the dance department probably will be). We never used recording music and always had live accompaniment, which was cool sometimes when we had really good ones, but others weren't as good and the music was a little slow and not driving enough for the movement. The class is also 6 hours per week, which can be a lot since your graded completely on attendance. You also have to audition on the first day to get in, but I got the impression it was more to see whether you could handle it (unlike 141 where there are always way too many people who want to take it).
