Comment: Oh geez. This guy never once lectured to the students. The entire semester was him just facing the wall and mumbling. This was probably the most consistently empty lecture hall I've ever been in. I don't remember the final being particularly difficult, or the material. He's not the greatest professor ever. He mumbles and is pretty hard to understand. Your GSI will probably be a lot more useful than your professor.

Comment: I think he is too old to be helpful or be cheerful during lectures and office hours. Besides his age limitations, his course is very well-designed along with his well structured and clear notes. His tests and homework are nontrivial and he gives you lots of hints on the homework so if you do get lost, it's all on you. Overall I thought his class was enlightening and I must say this class was way better than my first impression.
