Comment: Professor was hip and cool, but lectures seemed all over the place. Could have been a lot better. GSI didn't seem to help much. Readings were brutal. I got a B.

Comment: The instructor I took for this class no longer teaches the course anymore... At least I don't think so. But all we did was watch youtube videos and listen to her rants about her life and whatever. Eh. As with all the other humanities classes I've taken at Cal, just make sure to get an easy GSI who doesn't grade as harshly on papers and whatever. You're more likely to get an A as long as you try :) Trust!

Comment: unorganized lectures, never know what's relevant and what's not. she just rambles for an hour and a half and you might get a sentence or two of notes if you're lucky

Comment: Awful, awful class. Don't take it unless you have to. At first I thought Hubbard would be awesome because she wore high heels and showed us YouTube videos, but she tries way too hard to turn anthro lecture into a mystical spoken word performance. I took this for breadth and HATED the field project and the family tree project (I wasn't really clear on what we were supposed to do/accomplish), but I thought the tests were really easy. She's nice enough but I think she took what should have been interesting and straightforward theoretical material and made it convoluted, difficult to follow, and (thus) boring.

Comment: Super enthusiastic about the subject -- overly so? Tried too hard to make references so lectures didn't make that much sense.
