Comment: This was easily the worst class I have ever taken. Boring, dry and the professor showed less interest than we had! This class is a waste of time and should not be required.

Comment: Terrible professor. He did not seem to care about teaching this class at all. He would lecture to the board. Also, he gave in class, pop quizzes during the class meetings before and after Thanksgiving that were 10% of the grade. Basically, he seems to want to fail students.

Comment: Horrible lecturer. It's way too obvious he doesn't want to be there. Talks to the board the entire time. If you do your homework and are willing to ask the GSI's a lot of questions you'll do fine on his tests. They are pretty easy. The final is straightforward, taking some problems from past quizzes, exams, and homework.

Comment: WORST. PROFESSOR. EVER. Did not care about students, talked to the blackboard; no one understood anything until the GSI's helped. Grades were so bad that a petition went to the Dean and he raised everyone's grade a whole letter!

Comment: All over the place (with everything being a poor experience). He did not create the syllabus as every ME C85 class uses the same one so while the assignments did help you learn it didn't focus you one what course material he wanted you to learn - nor was it ever clear what he did want you to learn. Loved to lecture to the black board, tried to talk with the students as little as possible (would ask if there were any questions and then turn around and pretend that there weren't even if a student had raised their hand and then would flee from the lecture hall before anyone could even get out of their seat. Exams were all over the place pretty confusing on what he wanted you to know - admittedly the material he tested on wasn't that challenging but he had trouble expressing his expectations that it became very difficult - and also was very unclear on the grading system for the class. Overall: I say avoid him at all costs.

Comment: Clearly did not express interest in this class. Always lectured confusingly and towards the board. Lectures were not reliable to study with. Seemed as if he always wanted to spend the least amount of time with his students. Exams were unpredictable. Initially did not curve the class grades at the end of the semester, like promised. It took a petition and several months for him to institute a curve. GSIs were the saving grace of this course.
