Comment: AAS 153C with Prof. Scott was very enjoyable; it was my favorite class of the semester. Prof. Scott is very open to new interpretations of texts and has a good sense of humor. His lectures usually include a lot of information, but it is easy to follow. His exams (2 midterms) are very doable since it is 10 short id. terms/passages/characters. The only drawback to the class was that he did not grade your papers (a reader would), thus you never got a sense of helpfulness and feedback on assingments. Overall, I would highly recommend this course and professor!

Comment: Scott definitely knows his stuff and is a bit intimidating but is a real nice guy. We had two midterms and one final paper, just make sure you read.

Comment: Professor Scott is a decent lecturer who is very passionate about the subject matter. He lectures VERY fast though so you have to be on top of it with your note-taking. He is very approachable during office hours and will help you on your essays and preparing for the midterms. He is very picky about essay topics and interpretation of certain passages so make sure you talk to him to ensure a deserving/fair grade.
