Comment: This course has a million assignments it feels like and every time you finish one, there seems to be another one due the following week. Furthermore, there is seemingly thousands of pages of reading (pretty much none that you have to do however). But Professor Mauldon is one enthusiastic individual that knows how to light up a classroom at 8 in the morning. Assignments are graded extremely fairly, she practically hands you the midterm questions before the midterm, and you don't need to take the final because you can write a final paper instead. There are so many assignments and it's important you stay on top of your work and don't fall behind but don't sweat about grades. Everyone does well, the readings don't need to be read necessarily, and the Professor is one awesome person. Come for the easy A and rich insights offered by her.

Comment: Great class! Professor Mauldon is a wonderful professor and kept everyone engaged. There were a lot of assignments, but they were graded easily as long as you put in effort and there were also extra credit opportunities. Final was not mandatory, but could replace a midterm score if necessary. I will say that bspace was a little disorganized and assignment handouts were slightly unclear, but the Professor quickly responded to e-mails and piazza if you took the initiative to ask. She also moved assignment dates and extended deadlines for everyone in the class, even if only one person asked for an extension. She would always say in office hours, "There is more to life than my class" so she was extremely understanding as well. Her British accent only added to her amazing personality. The readings were long, but the course content itself was engaging. Also, she makes you write her an e-mail about why you want to be in the class before you can get a CCN, which was pretty nice because it forces you to think about the importance of this class as maturing citizens and also ensures that you are surrounded by people who actually want to be there. I highly recommend PP117AC.
