Comment: A LOT of people didn't like Levine in the beginning because he's strict on phone policy, participation and being punctual to class, but he runs an effective class! And he's a fun lecturer. He has these simulations in class that make learning really fun. He really gets students to be read current news by asking people to share stories in class. If he thinks what you're saying is irrelevant or trivial, he'll stop you. He also doesn't like people to ramble, and if he asks you to share one thing and you go on with multiple things, he'll probably not like that. (he really tries to get everyone to participate). Midterm is only 10%, multiple choice. Final felt like a writing test, which was fun for me! Overall, good class because I finally understand financial news, really got me thinking about macro econ after.

Comment: Very friendly, very enthusiastic. Attempts to get class engaged. Extremely helpful if sought out. Tests can be scary simply because the class gets built up around them, naturally, but there is just something intimidating about an exam in this class. Sadly, Professor Levine will not be teaching undergraduates for a long while once this course is finished.
