Comment: Okay so you might not believe the ratings I gave her but they're true. Sole is not only a great person, but she's also an awesome GSI. She's really sweet and motherly in a way, and she really encourages you in everything you do in class. She's passionate about the things she teaches (she's Italian herself), so you'll have a great time in her class. If you're concerned about your grade she's a pretty lenient/fair grader as well(and by lenient I mean that I almost got an A+ in her class without even shooting for it), though this bit of information might come too late because she'll finish her PhD this spring. As long as your essay flows well and its ideas and organization are pretty clear, you'll get a good grade on your essay. Sole, if you ever see this, I just want you to know that you were the professor that I really needed my freshman year. Thanks for being there.

Comment: Great teacher. Very professional yet engaging. Office hours are fairly helpful although she will only look at parts of your essay and not the entire piece. Very enthusiastic as she is Italian herself. Her assignments helped me improve my writing greatly. Each essay was geared towards helping us develop a certain skill. If you follow her comments, you should get a fairly high grade.

Comment: Sole is a fantastic GSI. I would recommend her in a heart beat. She is enthusiastic and always willing to help, especially in office hours. Her grading is very fair and if you read her comments and improve your writing, then getting an A is not too difficult.

Comment: Sole is an enthusiastic and approachable GSI. The topics she come up with for assignments and essays are interesting yet challenging. I think she grades hard, especially towards the Final Paper, which she has a high expectation of you to produce really good work. I believe this is definitely not an easy-to-get an A class. Be prepared!

Comment: Really great teacher. I'm an engineer and I actually enjoyed the class and it was all about women. She made everyone in the class not feel awkward at all at some of the stuff we had to read. She does grade kinda hard but if you go to her office hours and just ask what can I do to make my essay better she'll help you out a lot. After she peer edits your paper she tells you pretty much what she wants so that made writing a lot easier. Also, the class was really chill only three papers, but a bunch of reading and small writing reflections.

Comment: Sole is an awesome instructor. She's definitely tough on you in respect to your writing and how you approach a literary argument. She is excellent at getting you to rethink your thoughts and follow through with coherent and useful writing skills. The topic was fun, no one felt awkward about it, even the guys. Not a total feminist class. Gives you a new perspective on the effects of writing on society, culture, and the individual. Awesome class.
