Comment: Best class ever! No midterm, no final, she gave everyone As in the class she is great. We would watch a movie every other week, actually have interesting discussions, and she she brought us chocolate all the time. Definitely made it worth coming to an 8 AM :) There was minimal work for this class, and she actually really helped with my writing style!

Comment: Seriously my favorite teacher the whole semester. She brings chocolate and cookies every day for the class! Her class is fairly easy if you do your readings and participate in discussions in class. There's only a midterm and a final. There's a rough draft and final draft for both and your grade is the average of the two. If you get an A on the 'rough draft' then you don't have to write the final one. The way she wants you to write your essay is fairly simple. Go to her office hours and she'll guide you through all your questions and help you structure and write your essay . Overall, the class is awesome. Anaita is so nice. She will stay after class to help you if you need help!

Comment: She's a very approachable person and she always brings snacks to school! If you can't decide what R&C class to take, this will be it. The class is chill and fun, lots of interactions between students and the prof.

Comment: Great professor who you can become friends with well until after the class is over. If you are on her good side, you can basically do what you want with the class (turn in assignments whenever you want, etc). You watch movies, have discussions, and have to write 2 large papers, but the second one you can basically write on whatever you want.

Comment: I absolutely loved this class and Anaita. If you ever get a chance to take a class with her you definitely should. The topic of Soviet art/propaganda was also incredibly interesting, and since she grew up in the Soviet Union she added a fascinating perspective to the pieces we looked at.

Comment: Anaita was enthusiastic, helpful, and informative regarding the Soviet experience (particularly in relation to socialist propaganda). When I registered for the course, I was unaware of its eastern European focus on the visual aspects of the USSR, but I found myself pleasantly surprised (not to mention taken with the historical background of the class). Readings were engaging for the most part, and Anaita allowed us to personalize our compositions to the point where each student would choose a topic about which he or she was genuinely passionate (and subsequently analyze it in terms of Soviet socialist visual propaganda). Overall a positive experience, I would (and have, for that matter) recommended this R1B course to others.

Comment: Anaita was a great R1B instructor. The class required a lot of reading, but the material became progressively more interesting as the weeks went by. She made rough drafts of final papers due a lot earlier than the final draft so this discouraged procrastination. The class was a 8:00 in the morning, but she always had treats to help wake us up.The last half of the semester was just viewing other people's presentations, so it was really chill. Overall she was a fair grader, and I recommend taking the class.
