Ratings for Rhodes, R A

Comment: Overall, pretty good professor. A little awkward, but fun, interesting, and generally very nice. The assignments were easy (it's just a matter of doing them, really), although there was probably a few too many novels assigned for the course. Some of the technical elements of linguistics threw me off as a non-major, but I still learned a lot and the class mostly focuses on the history of immigration. Overall an interesting AC with a moderate workload.

Comment: He's awful. I asked a question in class and first he laughed at my question and then asked me if I really didn't know that obscure piece or material that I had never heard before. He's super rude to his students.

Comment: Seriously awful lecturer. I don't think the material could have been presented in a more boring way. Tests are exactly the same as the old ones (literally nothing changed) so it was an easy A if you just studied those. Homework/the project were also super easy. Don't take this class, though. It sucks.

Comment: The lectures were a bit dry, but Rhodes definitely knows his stuff. He may seem condescending, but he's still very helpful. Midterms/exams were relatively easy: basic memorization of morphemes and processes. Easy term project.

Comment: This professor is quite unprepared, but the material is relatively easy. He tells you exactly what's on the MTs and Final. The questions of the exam are recycled. The term project is really easy also. I finished it in a day and got an A.

Comment: I thought Rhodes was a really nice guy, if not exactly the most exciting lecturer. As long as you don't have difficulty memorizing a large number of roots, this class is very easy. There are no essay or anything. The end of year project is very simple and quick to do. The text is hardly used.
