Comment: Extremely nice guy who really knows his stuff. His lectures are detailed and structured. He answers or at least attempts to answer every question. Exams are difficult but by no means unsurmountable.

Comment: A surprisingly eloquent lecturer, only wish he spent less time showing us websites. Lectures were pretty engaging and I liked that he wrote down his key points, though to be honest it was a bit of a waste of time. Taught almost straight from the text, which could be either good or bad as it reinforced the important concepts but also felt repetitive at times. Krugman reading was nice but largely unnecessary. Exams were fair.

Comment: Mark is an amazing lecturer; he does a terrific job of explaining macroeconomic concepts and relating current events to theories and models we cover in class. Only complaint is that we didn't really spend much time discussing one of the assigned readings, Krugman's 'The Return of Depression Economics', in lecture, but the material was still fair game for the exams. HW assignments are straight from the textbook, augmented with a couple of T/F/U questions. Exams were pretty easy, mostly homework type questions. Grading was fairly generous, the lowest MT grade (out of 2) was replaced with the grade on the Final.

Comment: Great professor! Learned a lot in this class, exams were reflective of what was taught in the class, they were very fair. The subject was interesting, he incorporated current events in the lecture.
