Comment: Class was extremely chill. Watched film(s) for 3 hours. 1 hour of discussion. Readings were fascinating. Two midterms, one final, and one paper. But honestly if you just pay attention in class, they're all a cinch. Highly recommend this class.

Comment: Unfortunately your experience in this class is based mostly on your GSI. Even then though, I do not think it is that difficult of a class if you watch the movies and get the main points that the professor/GSI's want you to get.

Comment: Professor Fabe really seems to like her movies. The films shown in this class are a bit hit-or-miss, and it took a few weeks before we actually watched movies instead of just clips. The assignments, which were basically film responses, were a bit annoying. You have to do the reading for the quizzes. The midterm was easy enough, if you have a decent GSI. There is a final paper as well as a final exam; considering how little class time you have, you should really go to your GSI's office hours for help on the final paper if you take this course.

Comment: Professor Fabe is great! Very enthusiastic. Some of the movies she has shown have been horrible but also some great ones. Midterm was really easy. I'm guessing there are some discrepancies between GSIs but mine is fine. Easy material.

Comment: During lecture, Fabe just introduced the films and led discussions that seemed mostly for the adults that came to see the film. I learned the most from my GSI (George Larkin is awesome). The class was easy and fun. We had short assignments every 2 weeks, and they told us exactly what was going to be on the midterm and final.
