Ratings for Rubin, Y N
Based on 5 ratings for this instructor.
Comment: Not a great professor - lectures are often confusing and unclear, not helpful when answering questions, and impatient. Assignments are due every other week but they are not very representative exam questions. However, exams are generally fair.

Comment: Rubin is an AWESOME professor! He's so adorable and funny. He gets to know everyone's name in a class of 40-50, which isn't too common. The class moves rather slowly (soo much Darcy's Law), but I still found the class pretty interesting.

Comment: The class itself with professor Rubin is not very difficult. He is straightforward with the material he finds important and worth studying for the exams. Assignments are based on the book reading. Cheat sheets were allowed on the exams which made them very manageable, I believe the average on the midterm was a B+

Comment: Rubin is a professor who works very hard to make sure his students get the most out of his class. His assignments are relevant but not overkill, and the exams are very fair. I like his "think, pair, and share" learning method, but some other students didn't.

Comment: I never personally talked to him but he was a nice person. The homework assignments were pretty standard...not too difficult, not too easy. The exams were super easy if you did the homework and understood the material.
