Comment: One of my best professor at Cal. If you put a decent amount of effort into this class, you will understand fluid mechanics like a boss. Professor Stacey is a very clear lecturer; he explains difficult concepts slowly, and repeatedly if need be. I would have come out of college 10x smarter if all my professors were like him. He is a little elusive because he is really busy, but he makes an effort to reach out to students in other ways (ex. 2 min youtube summary lectures to make you remember what went on in class). Homework is from the book, which I found a bit annoying. Exams are not easy, but if you know the material, you can and will ace it. Great professor!!!

Comment: Very enthusiastic, amazing lecturer. He puts a lot of effort into making students understand the material in lecture. The homeworks can be pretty rough some weeks but it's never overwhelmingly bad. The exams are not super difficult and very fair. They're also open note.

Comment: Before taking this class, I had no idea how to derive things effectively, interpret differential equations, or know how to model. Professor Stacey teaches you all of these things, and these skills have helped me in almost every class I've taken since. Exams are fairly challenging. Cool labs.

Comment: Stacey is totally awesome. His assignments were lackluster (literally just problems out of the book), but he's so enthusiastic and helpful! This class is a lot of math, but he gets through it well and keeps things interesting with his enthusiasm for the subject. The labs are good. He seems to really care about his students.

Comment: Stacey is a great professor. He explains the material very clearly and efficiently in lecture. Exams are challenging but fair, and he grades them very generously (he admitted that the midterm was poorly written and assigned points accordingly). He always makes his office hours available and even tries to work around our schedules. Take 100 with him if you can!
