Ratings for Duesberg, P H
Based on 8 ratings for this instructor.
Comment: I do feel bad giving Duesberg a low rating because he is a very nice professor, but his teaching methods made the last unit (which could have been very interesting) quite stressful for students. Each lecture had over 100 slides, and he spent 30 minutes of each lecture reviewing material from the previous one. It got to the point where our GSIs had to work extra hard to basically teach us the material on their own, so thank you to them. The material for this unit is interesting though, so you could still do well through sections and self-studying!

Comment: He's a sweet old guy (I think 75 or so already) but I think as a Professor, he is not conveying the information too clearly or succinctly. I had to learn most of the material from my GSIs, the textbook and wikipedia. Be prepared to do lots of self learning, even if you go to his lectures.

Comment: This is his first time teaching this course so he's not as prepared as the first two professors. It gets quite boring in class since he has this accent and tends to mumble to himself most of the time. Very helpful in office hours but overall, lectures are very dull.
